I think everyone will agree that TP-Link TL-WR841ND router (or just N) is a really good model. First of all, because of the price-quality ratio. This model is practically at the top of sales in all online stores, there are a lot of comments, good reviews, etc. And according to my observations, articles on configuring or solving some problems with this router get a lot of views.

Since the TL-WR841ND model has been available for a long time, and it has been updated many times, TP-Link has developed a new, very similar model of the TP-Link TL-WR845N router. The new model has a new attractive case, a new and more powerful chipset, a finalized power saving system, and several other improvements. Well, the price of 22 dollars (600 UAH, or 1500 rubles at the time of writing) automatically made this router very popular and one of the best options for an average-sized apartment or house. To the radius of coverage of the Wi-Fi network, the speed of the Internet on wi-fi, other technical characteristics, and reviews we will now return.

I want to say right away that for this price, to find a router with better features, better design and reviews will be very difficult. Or even impossible. It seems to me that TL-WR845N model will become very popular among buyers in the nearest future. A small clarification: among those buyers who don’t need 802.11ac (5 GHz) support and a USB port. As for the characteristics of the TL-WR845N model, everything is standard:

TP-Link TL-WR845N Wi-Fi router review

The router comes in the usual TP-Link box.

Everything is standard: router, network cable, power adapter, and documentation.

The router case is made of gray matte plastic. Only the top panel is made of white glossy plastic with an interesting structure. It looks like small pimples. On the front side you can see indicators and TP-Link logo. The indicators are green in color. They do not shine brightly.

There should be no problems with cooling. There are a lot of small holes on the case.

All ports and buttons are located at the back. There you can see a power socket, a button for disconnecting power, a Reset button recessed into the case, and a WPS/wi-fi button. Next comes 1 WAN port, and 4 LAN ports.

Note that there are no holes that allow you to hang the router on the wall. If this is important to you, the problem can be solved with double-sided tape. Or think of something else. Also, the feet are plastic, not rubberized.

I somehow believe that reviews are what most buyers use to make their choice. As for reviews about this router, in one of the most popular online stores, out of 50 reviews I didn’t find a single negative one. People only occasionally complain about the lack of mounting on the wall, the control panel in English, and the squeak of the power supply. All of these are of course controversial points, which are likely to disturb only some users.

There is no particular disadvantage of this router. Good radius of coverage of Wi-Fi network, stable operation, does not cut the speed (all routers cut the speed of wi-fi), simple configuration, including through the application Tether from mobile devices. Perhaps you will still need instructions on how to update the firmware on TL-WR845N.

Somehow I’m sure that TP-Link TL-WR845N router will be very popular. First of all because of the small price, stable operation and good functionality.
