Password Reset and Settings on the Wi-Fi Router Tenda

Hi! In this article, I will tell you how to do a factory reset on Tenda routers. You can do a factory reset on almost every router, you can’t do without this feature. Very often this feature helps in the process of configuring the router itself, when you have done something wrong and you need to start the configuration again. I always try to write about it in router setup instructions.

So, not only can you completely reset the router back to factory defaults, and you’ll have a router that’s as good as new, you can also reset all the passwords. If the password that is used to connect to Wi-Fi can still somehow be viewed on a computer or router, the password to enter the settings can hardly be restored. In such cases, it is just the return to factory settings that comes in handy.

Resetting the password and returning to factory settings on Tenda

Everything is done very simply and quickly. There are two ways: you can clear the parameters with a special button on the router itself, or you can do it through the settings.

Let’s first consider the first, and the most reliable option – reset with the help of a button. After all, if you have forgotten the password to enter the settings, it will not be possible to do it through the settings.

The router must be turned on. Take something sharp, like a paper clip or toothpick, and for 10 seconds press the RESET button, which should be on the body of your Tenda router.

I did it on my Tenda N3 (it just has one LED), hold the button until the LEDs stop blinking and just glow. Release the button, the router will reboot and the settings will be restored to factory defaults.

After restoring the settings, when logging into the control panel will be used standard username and password. You may find this article on how to enter the settings on Tenda useful. Also, you will need to reconfigure the router, you can use the Tenda T3 setup article as an example.

One more way. Go to the settings of your router (instructions are in the link I gave above), and click on the Advanced Settings link in the upper right corner.

Then go to the System tools tab – Restore to Factory Default. Click on Restore to factory Default, then Ok to confirm.

Wait for the process to finish.

That’s all. I hope you managed to restore factory settings on your Tenda router. If you still have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments.
