Review and Photos of the Keyboard Rapoo E9270p 5GHZ Wireless Ultra-Slim (Silver)

Let me start by saying that the Rapoo 3710p Black mouse, which I have been using very actively for over a year now, has surprised me very pleasantly. And even the Asus mouse that I had before was not as good. Although, their price is almost the same. And after buying a monitor for my laptop, I also needed a keyboard. I wanted a wireless one, I chose it long and painfully:) In the end I chose Rapoo E9270p 5GHz Wireless Ultra-Slim (Silver). I’ve been using it for four months and want to write a short review.

And of course there will be photos, it’s not interesting without them.

Design and general impressions of Rapoo E9270p 5GHz

Yes, it was for the design that I bought it. Even the price of this keyboard didn’t stop me. I love beautiful, thin devices that are made with the use of metal. The keyboard looks great.

The body itself is made of metal, with a spectacular brushed metal pattern. The keys are matte, with a very nice, quiet and medium travel. The typing is very pleasant.

Also, I really liked the RAPOO lettering on the front side. It is made of metal, and if you look at it from an angle, it looks like it is illuminated.

Spectacular RAPOO lettering

As you have probably already realized, the keyboard looks very cool, expensive and solid. It is comfortable and pleasant to type.

Another feature I would like to emphasize is the touch panel. It is a black, glossy strip on top of the keyboard. If you bring your hand to it (about three centimeters above it), it will show red backlighting of the multimedia control keys. The keys themselves are not backlit on this keyboard. When you press the touch keys, the keyboard vibrates. When you remove your hand, the backlight goes out. Everything looks very nice and unusual, but it does not work as well as I would like. This photo was taken on my phone, sorry for the quality:)

Touchpad on the keyboard

I think it’s better to write about the pros and cons of Rapoo E9270p 5GHz Wireless Ultra-Slim keyboard, because I can talk about it for a long time.

Pros and cons of Rapoo E9270p 5GHz Wireless Ultra-Slim (Silver)

Pros

  • Design, quality of materials and assembly.
  • Keys. Their location, stroke, tactile sensations. Typing is very pleasant.
  • And probably the touchpad, if you look at it as an interesting and unusual feature rather than a practical function. There is something so unusual and interesting about it. Although, it is a controversial option, it does not work very stable.
  • For how long the batteries last. I’ve had the original batteries for 4 months now. I don’t turn off the keyboard at night (it was completely turned off for about two weeks). I actively use the touchpad. I think that this is a good result.

Cons

  • Not very stable operation of the touchpad. There were a couple of times that it triggered itself (or from a slight vibration), and switched the song in the player, or mute. There is no way to disable this panel. Also, this panel is very stubborn and gets very dirty.
  • The keyboard sags a bit in the middle. When typing, it’s not noticeable. But, if you press in the center, it sags. I think it’s just that the middle rubber padding is smaller than the sides.
  • I read more reviews on the Internet, people write that the wireless transmitter is very unstable, and this despite the fact that the keyboard works at a frequency of 5GHz. To be honest, I didn’t notice any glitches, skips, etc. I have a mouse that sometimes freezes, but the keyboard doesn’t. I have two RAPOO adapters connected to my laptop: from the Rapoo 3710p mouse and from this keyboard. There is a program on the manufacturer’s website that allows you to use one adapter for two devices. I haven’t tried it yet. When I try it, I’ll write instructions.
  • There are no indicators for the Num Lock and Caps Lock keys. For me this is not a minus.
  • I’ve seen many reviews that the keyboard behaves very badly in games: skips in pressing, and even completely refuses to work from a heavy load. I don’t play, so I can’t say anything specific. But for active games, I would advise you to buy another keyboard.

Afterword

Did I regret buying the Rapoo E9270p? No. The keyboard is good, and almost worth its money. But I think the price of it should be a bit less. Beautiful keyboard, in a nice box and with batteries included. Everything works and it is a pleasure to use this keyboard. I do not need anything else. Yes, there are some disadvantages, but without them. I have not seen any perfect device yet.
