Of course you can connect to it and the usual Internet (Ethernet), which it will also distribute, but I would advise you to buy TL-MR3220 only if you need to configure the distribution of Internet from 3G USB modem. If you have cable internet, then for this sum you can find better models from the same company Tp-Link.

I bought this router more than two years ago, and I have experience with it. However, the experience is not very good. I bought it to work with Novatel U720 modem. At first, I had problems with setting it up. The router simply did not want to see the modem, and if it saw it, it could not establish a connection to the Internet. After a lot of firmware (put only official), and attempts to customize it, it still worked. And worked for about two months. Then, the status “no internet access” appeared and it just stopped seeing the modem. I tried to connect different modems, updated the firmware again, did a reset, wrote to Tp-Link support, what I did not do, but it still does not work. It works in principle, but does not see the modem. Maybe the USB port is burned out.

I was unlucky, but it doesn’t mean that you should refuse to buy TL-MR3220. The router is not a bad one, and its price is normal. Until then, the manufacturer has probably already released new firmware, which most likely solved a lot of problems.
