Tenda N3 – ReViews, Characteristics and A Small Review

Tenda N3 is a simple, small and really budget Wi-Fi router. This inexpensive router is suitable for home use only (I would not recommend buying it even for a small office). If you have a one or two-room apartment and you need an inexpensive router that will distribute Wi-Fi to a couple of devices, and you are not into watching online videos of high quality, online games and downloading files via torrent (all this can be done, but not simultaneously on all devices), then Tenda N3 will suit you.

For a large apartment, and simultaneous connection of many devices, I would not advise you to buy Tenda N3. It simply will not pull them, the router will constantly hang up, and Wi-Fi coverage will not be all over the house. But, these are not minuses of the router, it fully corresponds to its price. Also, this router will not suit you if you want to connect more than one device to the Internet via a network cable, because it has only 1 LAN connector.

Be sure to take these nuances into account when choosing a router. If you have several computers at home, and several mobile devices, it is better to look in the direction of more powerful routers, such as TP-LINK TL-WR841ND (this is for example, there are many options). It is certainly more expensive, but better and more powerful in all respects. And if you have a phone, tablet and computer, and you do not want to overpay for unnecessary functionality, then Tenda N3 is what you need.

Reviews of Tenda N3

As for the reviews on different sites and in online stores, there are a lot of them, and all of them are almost the same: “a good router for its money”. If someone complains, it’s mostly about the unstable operation of Wi-Fi on Tenda N3 and the small range of the wireless network. But, this is not right. As I wrote above, you don’t need to buy this router and connect 10 devices to it, and even load it with different games, videos, etc. It is clear that it will not withstand, and should not.

And there is no need to hope that it will provide a stable signal to an apartment of a hundred or more square meters. For such premises on the market there are many other routers. And you can’t save money here, and you don’t need to.

My review and a small review of Tenda N3

The first thing that impressed me when I took this router out of the box was its size. It is really very small. You can see it in the photo. And the antenna is big (as it is for this size of router). Because of that, it looks kind of weird. Someone will like it, someone will not, everything is individual. The plastic is not glossy, prints do not remain.

On the router there is only one indicator (STATE), which, in normal operation of the router just blinks. On the back panel there is 1 WAN connector, 1 LAN, a power connector and a RESET button recessed in the case. Basically, that’s all there is to it.

Minuses of the router:

  • There is no option to hang the Tenda N3 on the wall. I think it would be possible to make two holes.
  • There are no rubberized feet on the bottom of the router, as they usually do on many routers. Because of this, it slides around on the table like a puck on ice.
  • There is no power off/on button. It’s not on many models, but I think it’s useful and could have been made.
  • Outdated, ugly router control panel. That said, it’s pretty self-explanatory.

Unstable network operation when connecting many devices and load, 1 LAN port and a small radius of coverage of the wireless network to the minuses I do not attribute. This is all because of the price of the router. There are models that cost more expensive, but work much worse.

A simple, inexpensive router for a small house, and a small number of devices. Without unnecessary and unnecessary functions.

I will be glad to see your reviews about Tenda N3.
