Netis WF2419R – Review and Reviews

The Netis WF2419R is one of the most popular, budget routers on the market. And not only among Netis devices. There is also an equally popular model Netis WF2419 (without R). The only difference between these two models is that WF2419R has IPTV support. And this model is a little more expensive. Literally by 1 dollar. The approximate cost of this router is 16 dollars.

For these 16 dollars we get a powerful and fast enough router, which will be suitable for a house, an apartment or even a small office without any problems. Separately, we can emphasize the control panel. It is simple and clear. I think there will be no problems with the configuration. Later I will prepare a detailed instruction on how to configure this router.

Some characteristics: Wi-Fi network speed up to 300 Mbps. WAN and LAN ports speed up to 100 Mbps. Two antennas with a capacity of 5 dBi. IPTV support. Also WF2419R can be used not only in the router mode. It can easily work as an access point, a repeater (about setting up in this mode I wrote here), an adapter (client), WDS and connect to the provider in WISP mode.

Netis WF2419R short review

The router comes in a nice, nice and informative box, which you can see in the photo above. The box has a lot of information about the device itself, description of buttons and ports, and even a connection diagram.

The router itself, power adapter, network cable and manual are included in the box.

The router is made of white and black plastic. It is pleasant to the touch. The assembly is good. On the sides and bottom there are holes for ventilation. On the front panel is the Netis logo and indicators that burn green.

Ports and buttons are gathered all in one place, on the back edge of the router. There you can see 4 LAN ports, 1 WAN, a socket for power supply and two buttons: WPS and Default (for resetting the settings). For some reason they signed it not Reset, as they usually do.

What else I want to add: there are special holes at the bottom, for mounting the router on the wall. But there are no rubber feet for the device to stand steadily on the surface of the table. In budget models they usually never make them.

Reviews of Netis WF2419R

On the topic of reviews about routers, which users very often leave in different online stores and on other sites, I’m going to write a separate article. The thing is that in order to write a more or less honest and adequate review, you need at least a little knowledge of routers, wi-fi, etc., and at least a month of active use of the router itself.

I read reviews about Netis WF2419R in the online store – well, such nonsense is sometimes written. And this applies to absolutely all routers and not only.

What exactly about WF2419R. My review. I have not noticed any problems. Everything is connected, configured and works. True, I have no experience of long-term use of this router. Perhaps in the process of operation there would be some problems, but judging by the reviews of other users, there is nothing like that. You should not forget that this is still a budget option. If you need a high speed wireless connection (there are a lot of nuances) and stable operation of the router under any load, you need to buy a router that is at least 5 times more expensive than this model.

I reread a lot of reviews, analyzed, and I can not single out any particular disadvantage. The router has been on the market since 2014. The manufacturer has already improved and corrected a lot of things. Also all the time the software is being finalized, which should be updated. And another tip: in the latest versions of the firmware there is a function of rebooting by time. I advise you to set it up. And then your router will reboot itself at a specified time. This is a very good feature that can improve the stability of the router. Especially budget models.
