Why, after connecting the laptop to Beeline Smart Box, the speed drops to zero?
After reinstalling Windows everything started working terribly. When the laptop is turned off Wi-Fi works fine, but just turn on the computer (without even opening a browser), as the Internet speed drops to zero, both on the laptop and on all other devices connected to wi-fi. Trying to reboot the router does not help. Disconnecting the cable from the laptop and connecting it to wi-fi also does not solve the problem. That is, on my computer I have no internet in any way, and on all devices it is only when the computer is turned off.
Answer
Hello. There are a lot of unclear points in your question.
After buying a laptop I wanted to connect it to the Internet with a wire. …this router does not support such a connection.
How? Why not? Smart Box has LAN ports, right? Just connect the laptop to the Smart Box router.
I copied the MAC address of the laptop to the Wi-Fi router and everything worked.
Why did you do that? Who told you to do it? How did it work (how is it connected)?
I just turn on my computer and my internet speed drops to zero.
How is the laptop connected to the router? If by cable, did you set up/start some kind of connection on the laptop?
Unplugging the cable from the laptop and plugging it into Wi-Fi also doesn’t solve the problem.
So, after connecting the laptop via Wi-Fi to Smart Box, the Internet on all devices doesn’t work either, no speed? Even after rebooting the Smart Box?
I don’t understand why the MAC-address of the laptop was copied to the router. But the reason may be in this case. Restore its factory MAC address in the router settings. If there is no such option there, then write the MAC address manually. It should be indicated on the sticker on the bottom of the Smart Box.
