When you turn off and turn on the router, the device cannot connect via Wi-Fi
After turning off and on the router (in fact, after every light outage), other devices see the Wireless connection, but cannot connect to it. All settings are saved, network name and password remain the same, devices see the network name in the wireless connection list, but cannot connect to it.
I have to go into the router settings through the computer to which the router is connected via cable and change some user setting, applying the change, and only then all devices that were connected to this network suddenly connect, i.e. get an ip address, and wi-fi is distributed.
Hence the question: is there anything I can do to avoid having to go into the router settings every time through the computer, changing the user setting? Logically, after disconnecting and turning on the router should be stable wi-fi without interfering with the settings.
Answer
Hi. It is clear that after turning off and on the power of the router, it should work normally, and devices should connect without problems. All settings are stored in the router’s permanent memory. Well, there are no special options for powering off routers. Just pull the power adapter out of the socket, or turn off the power with a button. If there is one. Which is basically the same thing.
Too bad you didn’t specify the model of the router. And did not write what specific problems and errors when connecting to Wi-Fi from different devices. After all, if you can connect to the router via cable and go into the settings, it means that it gives out IP-addresses. It seems that the problem is in the work of the wireless module.
I think there is nothing else I can advise you except firmware update and router reconfiguration (after factory reset).
Most likely, this is a software problem, not a hardware problem.
