Hello. In a private house two years stands tp-link wr740n plus signal amplifier all worked well without any failures. I put a video surveillance system Svip-n204 connected it with a cable to the router. The computer directly connected by cable from the router plus another computer with a Wi-Fi receiver and the video surveillance system itself work fine, but the TV and phones either slow down a lot or stop working at all with these devices show that the signal strength Wi-Fi good. Only disconnect the surveillance cable from the router everything starts working normally again.

Hello. In this situation I can only assume that the TP-LINK TL-WR740N router does not withstand the load, and because of this the Internet works so badly. In fact, it is not a powerful, budget router. And 2 computers, video surveillance system, TV and phones are too much load for it. I just don’t see any other options.

Although, it’s strange why the computers are working fine. But it’s not very clear what exactly the problem is on TV and smartphones. How badly the speed drops, etc. You can experiment with changing the Wi-Fi network channel. Maybe there’s some interference.

And it’s a good idea to find out if the amplifier is causing these problems. Are your TV and smartphones connected through it?
