Wan and Wi-Fi icons on the D-Link Dir-300 router do not burn

Good afternoon, I suddenly stopped lighting up the WLAN and Wi-Fi icons on my router (D-Link DIR-300). The laptop sees that the cable is connected, but writes “unrecognized network” and “no Internet connection”. (The laptop is windows 10.) Looked at all the tips. The site 192.168.0.1 won’t open due to no internet. Reset and reboot does not help. I suspect it’s the router itself, but would like to do something about it. Help please!!!

Answer

Hi. WLAN and Wi-Fi are the same thing. D-Link DIR-300 has one indicator in the form of Wi-Fi antenna. You probably mean that the Wi-Fi and WAN (Internet) indicators are not lit?

D-Link DIR-300: Internet and wi-fi indicator is off

I think that this is a hardware failure of the router, and it is unlikely that you can fix it yourself. And is there any sense to give it to the repair …

You can try to do a factory reset by pressing the Reset button for 10-15 seconds. But you’ve already written that it doesn’t help. Make sure you did the reset correctly. Try it again.

Reset settings on D-Link DIR-300

To go into the settings of D-Link DIR-300, to the address 192.168.0.1, you do not need the Internet. The router should just be connected to the computer.

If the address 192.168.0.1 does not open, it again indicates a failure of the router.

Most likely you will have to change the router. As practice shows, if some indicators are not lit (in your case Wi-Fi and WAN on DIR-300) or are lit/blinking differently than usual, it is a hardware failure.
