TP-Link TL-WR940N does not connect to the Internet (does not see DSL cable)
Modem tp-link tl-wr940n/tl-wr940nd. It is written everywhere that it is a router, but the modem works only as a router with a WAN cable connected. When you connect a two-core DSL cable instead of a WAN cable, when you change the settings of the connection pppoe. The modem displays “Connecting…” and that’s all. Modem as if it doesn’t want to connect, but supposedly doesn’t see the ADSL line at all. But as a router works properly.

I’m not sure I understood your question correctly. But TP-Link TL-WR940N and TP-Link TL-WR940ND are regular routers, not ADSL modems. They have RJ-45 WAN port, and there is no way to connect a telephone cable to them. You need a modem with RJ-11 port.
