TP-Link TL-WR840N V2 does not burn the WAN indicator and I can not go to the settings

I have Zorin OS (Ubuntu). I connected my TP-Link TL-WR840N v2 router to the modem according to the instructions, plugged it in, and the first thing that caught my eye was that the WAN indicator didn’t light up (only “Power” and WLAN were lit up). Then I tried to go to tplinkwi-fi.net (or 192.168.0.1) to set it up, but that page wouldn’t load. (I read the FAQ.) What to do?

Answer:

First, try doing a factory reset. Then, check the cable that you use to connect TP-Link TL-WR840N to the modem. It may be that it is not working. For example, use this cable to connect your computer to the modem. At the same time check if the modem provides Internet. Maybe the LAN port on the modem itself is not working. And see more tips from the article: router can’t see the Internet cable.

On TP-Link TL-WR840N the indicator in the form of a “gear” should be blinking. All this sounds like the router has some kind of technical failure. Is it new? Or did something happen to it? I understand the LAN indicator also does not light up when you connect the cable to the computer?

In general, there are a lot of unclear points to make any conclusions. You need to check and try.
