TP-Link TL-WR840N sets do not open after resetting the settings. OOPS error! It look Like You Arenet Connected to Your Tp-Link Network
Hello, on the router Tp-link TL-WR840N yellow light in the center instead of green. I waited a few hours, thought that the problems at the ISP, the results were by evening zero, decided to reconfigure.
Pressed the reset button (10 sec) router reset to factory defaults. It is clear that there is no internet in it now, as it is not configured. I went to the site tplinkwi-fi.net (via smartphone), it says to me “Oops! It looks like you aren’t connected to your TP-Link network. Please check your network connection and try again”.
I realized I was logged in via mobile internet. I got Wi-Fi network (my own), and it doesn’t want to load the page, because Wi-Fi is not set up! How can I access the site?
Answer
Hello. In your case there should be no problem at all. Yes, if you try to go to tplinkwi-fi.net (to open TP-Link TL-WR840N settings) and your laptop or smartphone is connected to the Internet in another way (not to the router), you will get an error: “Oops! It looks like you aren’t connected to your TP-Link network. Please check your network connection and try again.”.
But you just connect to the TP-Link TL-WR840N Wi-Fi network with the factory settings. The Wi-Fi name and password (PIN) are listed at the bottom of the TL-WR840N. And even after connecting to the router, I recommend to disconnect mobile internet completely, because the Wi-Fi network of the router is “without internet access” because it is not configured yet and the phone can still use the connection via mobile internet.
When your phone is connected only to the router, then in the browser open the settings at tplinkwi-fi.net, or 192.168.0.1. Read more in the article: how to enter the settings of the TP-Link router? And configure the router according to the instructions: configuring TP-LINK TL-WR840N.
If you have any other difficulties, then write about it in the comments. You can attach screenshots.
