The Wi-Fi distribution has disappeared and does not enter the TP-Link TD-W8951ND settings

Good afternoon, please give advice, the thing is that my router TP link td-w8951nd works not the first year, there were sometimes problems with it, like interruptions in the distribution of network (every 5 min interrupted for sec 10-15) but once again after the rain, he stopped distributing the network at all, works only through the cord connected to the computer. Previously, if there were any problems with the Internet I went to 192.168.1.1 and there changing the password for distribution (like Wps protection) all started working and everything was fine, but now it does not even go to the address 192.168.1.1, I have it and on/off, and the button on the back two pressed, left alone for a while, no change has not happened, please advise how and what to do, or re-configure it, I would be very grateful!

Answer

Hi. You had an interesting solution before – changing the wifi network password. I think what helped was simply rebooting the TP-Link TD-W8951ND. Which happened after changing the password and the internet started working again.

I am 90% sure that this is a hardware failure. That is, something with the hardware (the board itself), or the power adapter.

Buttons should not be pressed twice, but the Reset button should be held down for 10 seconds. According to the indicators you will see that the reset occurred. If you can’t get to 192.168.1.1 after that, it’s definitely a hardware failure. Provided you do everything correctly. You can look at another article: can ‘t enter router settings on 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

By the way, TP-Link TD-W8951ND has a button to disable Wi-Fi network. Maybe you pressed it by accident? Try pressing it again, or press and hold it for 3 seconds. Is the Wi-Fi indicator light off?

Most likely you’ll have to buy a new router. But without seeing the device itself, I can’t say anything concrete, only guesses.
