The laptop does not see the TV Smart TV

Hello!

Very much asking for help. I bought a Samsung UE48J5200A TV set with Smart TV function. I can’t connect it with my laptop (Asus, Windows 7). I installed Allshare, Smartview, Intel WiDi Remote, PC Manager, etc. Nothing works! When starting any program it says that TV is not detected. Although the laptop is visible in the TV (shared admin folder and you can even see some pictures). Studied the wi-fi settings, everywhere indicated shared access. Does not help. What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Answer

Hello. You shouldn’t have touched the wi-fi settings, that’s not the point. Or else you can “customize” so much there. It is strange that the laptop does not see the TV through Allshare. It’s like a proprietary application from Samsung. And Intel WiDi Remote is not that at all.

If the TV still sees the shared folder of the laptop, I think that the problem is in the program through which you tried to configure the DLNA server. I didn’t see the program “Home Media Server (UPnP, DLNA, HTTP)” in the list. Try using it to start a DLNA server on your laptop.

If you have antivirus, disable it for a while.

You can simply not run the movie from the laptop to the TV, but try to access the necessary folders and run the movie from the TV.
