The Internet stops working after starting the access point in Windows 10

Hello, the situation is as follows: I had a computer with a wired connection to the Internet. I bought a Wi-Fi adapter Archer T2UH, through the command line in Windows 10 I created a wireless access point for home devices (laptops and phones). Everything worked without interruptions.

The other day I upgraded the components on my PC, reinstalled Windows to the same one I had, updated drivers, downloaded all system updates. Wired internet works perfectly. I also create an access point through the command line, exactly the same all connect, but after a few minutes, the whole network, including wired Internet stops working. Troubleshooting writes that the DNS server is not responding. Services all work, different drivers available on the computer for the network adapter tried, reset network tried, prescribed DNS server from Google, nothing helps. Can you tell me anything about this problem?

Answer

Hello. I am unlikely to be able to suggest a working solution to your problem, but let’s try to figure it out. But first we need to figure out a few things.

How is your Internet connection to your computer? What kind of connection, PPPoE? Maybe there is an option to give out internet via a mobile hotspot.

How does the status of the internet connection change? What about the network card and the Archer T2UH wireless adapter in Device Manager? Do they disappear, or do they have a yellow exclamation point (error) next to them? How do you restore internet connection?

Have you installed any new programs? Antivirus?

In the properties of your Archer T2UH and network card in Device Manager, disable the adapter to save power. More details at the end of this article.

This sometimes happens when connecting via 3G/4G modem. And when the operator blocks Internet distribution. When you start Internet distribution via Wi-Fi from your computer, the Internet stops working everywhere. But in your case, when you are connected via cable, it is unlikely that this is the problem. And everything worked before. And what components have you changed?
