The Internet falls off with PC when working via wifi
In short, I can’t connect to the internet through my PC. I connect to the internet via wifi adapter. There are also 2 android phones, smart TV, laptop in the house. All of them are connected. The laptop and PC are identical, from the same Windows7 box.
The problem appeared after changing the router. I put Asus RT AS 55U, dual channel. (2,4 and 5 Gh)/ Before that was Tp Link WR 741ND. Configured the laptop to the frequency of 5GC, android, smartphones, on 2.4., TV connected by cable. In general, everything works except the computer.
Since the adapter can only receive at a frequency of 2.4 – the computer sees only this network. The signal strength shows excellent. What else is strange, it happens that the Internet appears for a short time – from 4 to 10 seconds.
I suspect the adapter, but I don’t understand how to check it and test it. I plan to buy an adapter also 2-band, now would be to deal with this problem, maybe the problem and not in the adapter.
Answer:
You didn’t write the most important thing, how does the connection process happen on the PC? At what specific stage does the error appear? And what kind of error? Or Wi-Fi always connects for a few seconds, and then what? This is the most important information that you did not write.
You should also check how your computer will connect to the other access point.
