Strange partial loss of Wi-Fi on a laptop

Good day! I have a very strange problem: Internet disappears partially and for short periods of time. At first everything works fine, then at some point, out of 20 available networks, the laptop starts to see 2-3 networks, and the speed of the Internet drops drastically. This is solved by disabling and re-enabling wireless networks. At once everything appears (again 20 Wi-Fi networks see), but after 5 minutes the same thing: again 2-3 networks and low speed. I tried installing the adapter driver, scanned for viruses – nothing helps. I will be glad if you offer a solution, or give any advice!

Answer

Good day. Yes, the problem is not simple. It’s bad that you didn’t write what Windows is installed and how the laptop works with Wi-Fi networks elsewhere. This is very important. You can rule out the loss of Wi-Fi signal due to some kind of interference.

You most likely have Windows 10 installed, and the problem is most likely in the driver. However, there may be something with the adapter itself, which is installed in the laptop.

Did you download the driver from the official site for your laptop model?

You can still try to remove the adapter, or replace the driver from the list of already installed.

And set the power plan on your laptop to “Maximum Performance”.
