No router sees the Wan provider cable (works on a PC)
The yellow internet triangle is lit on all computers. There is no WAN light on the router. I read on your forum that the WAN port could be burned out, tried changing the firmware and reconfiguring the LAN port to WAN – nothing helped. I bought a new router Asus RT-N12 again does not find WAN. The lamp is not lit. Called the provider with the Internet settings all is well. When connecting the network cable directly to the computer, the Internet works. Checked all drivers are installed the latest version. I hope for your help.

Hello. I understand you read the article router can’t see internet cable. WAN port is not working. I think the problem is on the ISP side. Something in their equipment, or in the cable itself. Not in the WAN ports on your router. Let me explain why I think that.
Even when the Internet is not working, or not configured on the router, when you plug a cable into the WAN port of a TP-LINK or ASUS router, the Internet (WAN) indicator will be on. It may be lit orange on TP-LINK (this indicates that the cable is connected but the internet is not working), or just lit but not blinking on ASUS. You can check. Take a network cable (which is included with the router), plug one end into the network card of your computer, and the other into the WAN-port of the router. And you will see that the port itself works (according to the indicator on the router). Well, it can’t be that there are problems with the WAN port on two routers.
I haven’t forgotten that when you connect the cable from the ISP directly to the computer, the internet works. I have already seen several cases when the Internet on the PC works without problems, but the router simply does not see the Internet cable. It does not react to its connection.
If the provider does not see the problem and can not help remotely, then let them send specialists. Perhaps it is necessary to re-crimp the network cable on your side, or on the equipment side. Maybe something with the equipment that is installed in the house. Let them sort it out.
I could be wrong, of course. But I think that the problem is not in the settings and not in the router.
