Netis WF2419E router does not see the network cable of the Internet provider

Hello.

I bought a new router Netis wf2419e because the old one did not work and when I wanted to configure it and Wi-Fi network, I realized that the router does not see the cable … WAN light is not lit only pwr and WLAN.

I do not have a computer or laptop…..

Can you please tell me what’s wrong?

Thanks in advance)

Hi. In the Netis WF2419E router control panel, under NetworkWAN, does the router say that there is no WAN cable connected? Have you tried configuring it?

I think there are two possibilities here:

  1. A faulty router. Which is highly unlikely.
  2. A problem with the cable itself. On the ISP side. Maybe the cable itself is poorly or improperly crimped. Or something on the ISP equipment side. If you do not have a PC and laptop, you can not check whether the Internet works directly. Sometimes there were even cases when the computer saw the cable, but the router did not see the cable connected to the WAN port.

On this topic, I have already written an article: router does not see the Internet cable. WAN port does not work
