Mobile hot spot using the Windows 10 Mobile phone (it turns on)
Hello. Mobile hotspot with Windows 10 Mobile phone is configured and works with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 computer, with Android phones. But, with Mobile Hotspot disabled on the phone and when working on the Internet from the cell phone (enabled “Data Transfer”), on the computer with Windows 8.1, when clicking on the network icon in the notification area, the available networks and the Mobile Hotspot network from the phone are opened and if you click “connect”, the computer switches to this network, and the phone independently turns on the function “Mobile Hotspot” and Windows 8.1 works on the Internet via mobile traffic. Where in the phone settings did I mess up?
Answer
Hello. It turns out that the Windows 8.1 computer itself starts Mobile Hotspot on the phone, and connects to the internet. Interesting.
I don’t have a Windows 10 Mobile phone, so, I won’t be able to test and advise in detail. But I think there should be this setting in the “Mobile Hotspot” feature settings.
For example, in the regular version of Windows 10, on a computer, there is such an item. It’s called “Enable Remote.”
Whether there is such a setting on a mobile device, I can’t tell you.
