Increase in the speed of the Internet Beeline

Good day. I have a very poor internet connection speed ( somewhere around 3-5 mbps). I plan to buy an external antenna Ubiquiti Nanostation m5 for installation on the street. The distance to the tower provider somewhere 300 meters. I definitely imagine that up to a speed of 54 mbps in principle can be obtained, but there are “jumps” signal level (this confirms Wi-Fi analizer) indoors signal level can be obtained up to -40 db that is not bad, the router TP-LINK TL MR 3420, (now frequency 2.4 ghz), but the speed rarely rises above 7 mbps (this is at 5 am) most likely the load on the base station is low. Will the ASUS RP AC 68U repeater help? To improve Wi-Fi performance and internet connection.
P.S. I would like to get up to 100 mbps stable, without taking into account the load on the base stations of this provider. Is it possible? Might finally switch to 5 ghz, although it will also get very noisy over time…..

Do you have 3G/4G Internet via USB modem? If yes, then Wi-Fi has nothing to do with it. I understand that you have a modem connected to a router and the Internet is distributed via Wi-Fi and cable. Let me explain.

wi-fi has nothing to do with it because your speed is most likely limited by the operator (base station). It is clear that in the morning the speed is higher, as there is no load on the base station. And with a distance to the tower of 300 meters, it is unlikely that the speed is so low because of a poor signal. Since you should have the maximum signal.

The first thing you need to find out: what is the speed at direct connection of the modem to the computer. With such a connection, it should be maximum. You can lift the modem on a USB extension and see how the speed changes. If the speed will be higher, it may make sense to put an antenna. Otherwise…

Maybe your neighbors have the same internet. Ask them what speed they have.

The Ubiquiti Nanostation m5 is a Wi-Fi antenna. You don’t need it at all. Maybe I just don’t understand your internet.
