How to limit the connection to the router via MAC address?
Hello guys, and so here’s a question: “How can you make a connection via mac-address, so that people whose mac-address is not entered in the router settings, just connect to the network, but the router does not give them access to the Internet. I’ve tried everything, but it doesn’t work! I have a friend said that they can do through some kind of program, so that whose mac address is entered in the settings could use the Internet, and the one that is not entered just stupidly connected to the network, as if the money (traffic) is not. Thanks for understanding, and I hope to find someone who will help! And yes then, if there will be questions and why do not ask your acquaintance: “So, he is such a man is the smartest on earth, and different there secrets do not divulge!
Answer
Hello. Your question is interesting, but I have a counter question. What is your router? Since you can’t do it through the program. You can block connection of devices to Wi-Fi router by MAC-address in router settings. But not on all routers, probably. And there most likely the devices will not connect to the network at all, but not without access to the Internet.
