Expansion of Wi-Fi network coating using TP-Link TL-WA901ND access sharpening

Hello, I have a router, it gives out wi-fi very badly, I want to increase the range of wi-fi coverage with an access point and change the antennas on the access point to more powerful. I want wi-fi to be on the whole plot, the plot is 15 acres. I have a concrete-brick house, 3 floors + basement, the access point will be on the third floor.

Access point TL-WA901ND: https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/access-point/tl-wa901nd

Hi. I apologize for the delay in replying.

I didn’t really understand your question. Are you interested in whether this scheme will work, and whether with the help of TP-Link TL-WA901ND access point you will be able to strengthen the Wi-Fi network throughout the site?

The scheme is not bad, but on condition that the Internet from the router to TP-Link TL-WA901ND will be connected via cable. Do you have such a possibility? Is the cable running to the 3rd floor?

Yes, TP-Link TL-WA901ND can also connect to your Wi-Fi network in wireless bridge mode (via wi-fi) and amplify it. But this is not a very stable connection. And it’s not clear whether you have a stable Wi-Fi network on the 3rd floor.

As for antennas, I wouldn’t buy one right away. The TL-WA901ND has some pretty good 5 dBi antennas on it. If there’s not much coverage, you could buy the TL-ANT2409CL. It’s really up to you here though.
