D-Link DIR-300: Error with DNS and L2TP connection is not installed

Hello, the case is like this, Wi-Fi if the DNS address is automatic, it says no access to the network, if you use Google or Yandex (8.8.8.8.8….), everything is connected and from a desktop computer all works, but from Android writes “dns_probe_finished_bad_config” and works the game “fool” on the network the rest of everything that asks the network does not work, (reset pressed, that the only thing in the protocol did not write, in Android network deleted…and so on) l2tp_eth2.2_0 broken: all that is recommended to do done, but still broken connection and do not know what to do about it. Removed l2tp_eth2.2_0 nothing has not changed, channels changed…in general as written (Connection status: Connection is not established) and writes this here 192.168.1.1, on 192.168.0.1 does not go, router DIR-300, QoS zero put and many other things.

Answer

Hello. To be honest, from your description it is difficult to understand something. What exactly is the problem?

If on automatic DNS reception Internet via D-Link DIR-300 router does not work on all devices, it is possible that the problem is on the provider’s side. And first you need to exclude this option. You can connect the Internet directly to your computer, set up a high-speed connection, and check how it will work. As for the error “dns_probe_finished_bad_config” on Android, you can also change DNS addresses in the properties of your Wi-Fi network.

You first wrote about the problem with DNS, and in the second part of your question you write that the connection “l2tp_eth2.2_0” on the DIR-300 router is broken. I don’t see the connection between these problems.

If after resetting the settings on D-Link DIR-300 you can not re-configure the L2TP connection, then most likely incorrectly set some parameters that you gave you Internet provider. And again, you need to rule out the problem on the ISP side.

You do not need to go to 192.168.0.1. The address of your D-Link DIR-300 router is 192.168.1.1.
