Connection breaks on Zyxel Keenetic II (Beeline): NDMService L2TP0 UNEXPECTEDLY Stoppeed

Hello. For the last five days my wifi connection on my phone has been constantly disconnected. At first I tolerated it – I thought it was the weather. Then I went to look into it.

I updated the firmware and changed the communication channels from auto to thirteenth. Five minutes didn’t pass – the same story. At the same time, the Internet is normal via cable, the computer is connected to the same router and works without interference.

I went to the log – there at each disconnection gives “ndmService: “L2TP0″: unexpectedly stopped.”. I googled this phrase and didn’t get a clear answer. Someone blames the provider, someone blames the failed router model (zyxel keenetic II). The router was bought in early 2014 and the warranty is of course no longer valid. Interested to know what else I can try to do.

Answer:

Hello. Let me clarify right away: the router is a Zyxel Keenetic II. Is this correct?

Something is not right here. Perhaps you have described the problem incorrectly or incompletely. The line “ndmService: “L2TP0″: unexpectedly stopped.” in the router’s log says that the L2TP connection was unexpectedly stopped by the provider.

When the connection is disconnected, the internet should disappear on all devices. There should be a Wi-Fi connection, but no internet access. You didn’t write:

  1. How exactly is your connection dropping and what is happening?
  2. Does it happen on other devices over wi-fi?
  3. What are you doing to get it working again?
  4. Do you have some sort of high speed connection set up on your computer?
  5. What does support say about the error “ndmService: “L2TP0″: unexpectedly stopped.”? You need to call them.

Please clarify this information. We’ll think further.
