Connection and Setting IPTV Box Android 4.2.2 with TP-Link router

Hello! As it is clear from the topic, I need to connect a set-top box to TP-LINK TL-WR841N router. The problem is as follows: I tried to connect the set-top box via cable to the LAN port. When turning on “Ethernet” in the “OK” position (on the set-top box) the Internet does not work. Although the signal is clearly present. When turning on “wi-fi” – the Internet is there, but not stable, or it blows out altogether. And even though it shows that there is a connection, there is no internet.

Measuring the speed of the Internet on the set-top box, gave the result of 25 mbps…. Other devices (smartphones, tablets) work normally, until I connect the set-top box. When I turn on the set-top box, the Wi-Fi network breaks and jumps. What could be the problem and how can I solve it????

P.S. In the settings of the router did not dig, was set up a year ago by me on the manual quick setup. Not once failed. Internet speed from the provider, stable, 50-100mbps. Depending on the time of day….Thank you!

I haven’t configured IPTV BOX Android 4.2.2 specifically, but it seems that after connecting IPTV BOX Android 4.2.2 to TP-LINK TL-WR841N via wi-fi, the set-top box creates a decent load on the router, and problems with the Internet on all devices start. I don’t know how to explain it otherwise. The fact that the speed on the set-top box is 25 Mbps, it can be quite normal. After all, the speed depends not only on the router, but also on the receiver. Why the internet doesn’t work via cable, I don’t know. It should be checked, try different connection options.

I think, first of all, you should check how the set-top box will work with another router (another Wi-Fi network). There is no sense to go into TP-LINK TL-WR841N settings and change something there. And there is nothing to change there, because the Internet works fine on other devices. And there are no special wi-fi settings on the set-top box.
