After removing the Dr.Web antivirus, the Internet does not work via Wi-Fi

Hello. I want to say right away that I have read all the articles on your site and some others. And not only read, but also tried to apply all the advice, except for a clean reinstallation of the system. Nothing helped. Apparently, not all the mysteries of Wi-Fi have been explored yet.

And now the essence of the problem. After DrWeb was correctly uninstalled using a proprietary utility, wi-fi stopped connecting. Laptop HP Pavillion dv7, router first Dlink dir620, then Tenda AC6, system Win 10. The picture is the same. Laptop connects to the network “No Internet access”, and the router does not even see it. After reinstalling Windows and saving the settings Wi-Fi works without problems until the first reboot of the laptop. Then everything is again as I described above. Yes, all other devices and gadgets (smartphones, tablet, monoblock) work with this network and router without problems.

Once again I repeat: I tried all sorts of driver updates, resetting and forgetting the network and all other tips from the articles.

Question: what to do, how to set up wi-fi?

Answer

Hi. Sometimes there are such problems after uninstalling antiviruses. However, I haven’t heard that Dr.Web somehow affects the work of Internet connection after uninstallation. Or maybe it’s just a coincidence. Usually, resetting network settings helps in such situations.

Check if there are no unnecessary components in the properties of the “Wireless Network” connection. There might be some Dr.Web component left there. You can read more about it at the end of this article: /solving-problems-and-errors/8220-connection-is-limited-8221-in-windows-10-by-wi-fi-and-network-cable/

Check your proxy server settings. Here are the instructions.

If that doesn’t help, I would try reinstalling Dr.Web. Then uninstall.
