After blocking the TV on the ASUS RT-AC87U router, it is not possible to connect it again
After some time I needed to connect it again. But it is not in the list of clients. I can’t find it and reconnect it. Found it only in Network Utilities – Wake On LAN, there its MAC-address is in the offline client list. It is not in the network map – client list. How can I find it and reactivate it? Thank you in advance.
Answer
Good evening. I have a few moments that are not clear to me:
- How and where (in which section) did you block internet for Samsung TV in Asus RT-AC87U settings?
- Is the TV now connected to a Wi-Fi network, just no internet access?
Wake On LAN has nothing to do with your problem. The “offline clinte list” is a list of devices that were previously connected to the router but are now disconnected.
If you simply blocked internet access as shown in this article (1st method, with a switch through the network map), the TV should connect to wifi and show up in the network map with no problem. There will still be a red icon near it. It is enough to click on it and unblock the internet.
And if you blocked the TV by MAC-address (2nd method in the article at the link above), then it should definitely be in the list, under “Wireless Network” – “Wireless MAC address filter”. Something like that. There are no other options there.
