4G modem loses communication when connecting to the TP-Link router

Hello! I have two 4G modems and they both work fine when connected directly to my laptop, but when connected to a TP-Link router, Wi-Fi distribution is great, but the modems themselves start to work with failures (lose connection, when temporarily, when completely) and not only with this router, I tried the other, all the same. Please tell me what can be done, I tried and do a reset on the routers and re-configured everything, nothing helped, the same loses connection.

Answer

Hi. Sorry for the short delay in replying.

The problem is clear in principle, but I would like to know more specific information about how exactly the modems lose connection. What happens? Does the modem drop the connection to the operator and the wi-fi connection becomes no internet access?

I think the problem could be poor coverage, exactly where the router is. Or do you have a good network of the cellular operator? Also, similar problems are observed when connecting 4G modems to routers via USB extender. Well, because of some problems with the router there can be such connection losses. When, for example, there is not enough power. Although, why then with another router the same problem.

I think you should ask the operator’s support, maybe they will advise you something. Is there no possibility to change the modem?
