TP-Link Archer C3200: Review and Reviews. PowerFul Router for Home, or Office

Beautiful, powerful, the best – this is TP-Link Archer C3200. Recently, in the comments to an article on choosing a router, I was asked to recommend a powerful model for several computers, smartphones, tablets and Smart TVs. The requirements are decent: watching online videos (including 4K), online games, Internet TV, downloading torrents. And all this simultaneously on multiple devices. I’m sure that TP-Link Archer C3200 router would cope with these tasks without straining.

Dual-band routers are no surprise to anyone nowadays. That’s why TP-Link has created the Archer C3200 model. This is a tri-band router. It broadcasts one network at 2.4GHz (maximum speed of 600 Mbps), and two at 5GHz (speed of 1300 Mbps on each channel). This was done to reduce the load on the router. Because of this, you can connect a large number of devices to the router without slowing down the speed. This is very cool if you have a lot of devices in your home, or office that you want to connect to the router via wi-fi. Everything will work stably, you can be sure.

This monster runs on a 1 GHz processor, and it is helped by 3 more co-processors. Everything is done to make the Archer C3200 router withstand heavy loads from a large number of connected devices. The Wi-Fi network coverage is also on top. Six antennas, though small, perfectly cope with their work.

The main task of this router is stable work when connecting a lot of devices. Even looking at TP-Link Archer C3200 and its power supply, you realize that it is created for more than just distributing Wi-Fi to several phones. That’s why it makes sense to buy such a router when you have a lot of different devices in your house and you want to create a stable Wi-Fi network. Or, when you don’t have a goal to save money. You can buy Archer C3200, configure it, and just enjoy stable Internet. I’m sure you won’t have to reboot the router every time, tolerate slow speeds, etc. As it often happens with budget models.

TP-Link Archer C3200 review

Almost the entire router is made of black high-quality plastic. TP-Link has no problems with assembly, even on budget models.

On the top panel, in the middle is the company logo, small antennas are raised in a circle. The design is very interesting.

In the front there are standard indicators, which are lit in blue color. And three buttons: the button to turn on and off wi-fi, the WPS button, and the button to turn off the indicators. Unusual function, but many people may find it useful. Sometimes at night these indicators are a bit disturbing. Here you can simply turn them off.

There is nothing interesting on the sides. All connectors and buttons are located at the back. There we have 4 gigabit LAN ports, one gigabit WAN port, two USB (one of which is version 3.0), and a socket for connecting a power adapter. The only buttons are RESET and the power button.

The top and bottom panels are in holes, which is very good for cooling the router. But I still advise you to install the router in a place where there is air circulation. The router needs to “breathe”.

Of course, TP-Link Archer C3200 stands steadily on the table thanks to the rubber feet. Also, it is possible to hang the device on the wall.

Reviews of Archer C3200

Traditionally, I read what they write about this router on the Internet. There are not many reviews about TP-Link Archer C3200. Well, it’s understandable, the model is expensive, and its audience is small. But everything is excellent, as it should be for such a device. Speed, stability of work, radius of Wi-Fi network coverage, everything is good here.

I liked Archer C3200 very much. By the way, if you buy this router, see my instructions on how to configure it. You can configure both through a browser, there is a new control panel, and through the TP-LINK Tether app from your mobile device.
