Review TP-Link AC750 RE210. Two-Band Wi-Fi Amplifier

I have an excellent TP-Link AC750 RE210 Wi-Fi network repeater, which I wrote about setting up in the article setting up the TP-Link AC750 RE210. Wi-Fi signal amplification at 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I was sitting today, thinking about what would be useful to write about, and decided to tell about this repeater in more detail. I will make a small review, add photos, and talk about its features.
Frankly speaking, I don’t understand why most users treat repeaters with some caution. Why spend money on some obscure device when you can do without it? I am now talking about those users who faced the problem when after installing a router Wi-Fi network does not catch the whole apartment, house, office, etc. Simply put, when there is no Wi-Fi coverage where it is needed. After all, no matter how powerful the router is, it can not always break through several walls, or broadcast a wireless network to several floors.
Many people, when faced with such a problem, start looking for different solutions. Yes, you can slightly increase the radius of wireless coverage without buying a repeater. How to do this, I wrote in the article how to strengthen the signal of Wi-Fi network? Increase the range of wi-fi. But in most cases, these methods are not enough. And everyone wants to find a magic button in the router settings, after pressing which, the range of wi-fi network will increase several times. This is not the case.
When you realize that the Wi-Fi network settings do not strengthen, for some reason many people consider buying a second router. What for? After all, for these tasks there are separate devices, Wi-Fi network repeaters. Repeaters, wi-fi amplifiers, whatever. And TP-Link AC750 RE210 is one of such devices, a good option.
Wi-Fi amplification with TP-Link AC750 RE210
The device is very simple and beautiful. Everything is set up in a couple of minutes. The wireless network amplification is very good. What more do you need?
Turn on the TP-Link AC750 RE210, set it to connect to the router, and get Wi-Fi coverage where there was none. You’ll still have one wireless network in the house. Your devices will seamlessly switch between the wireless network of the router and the amplifier. If you want, you can configure the repeater to broadcast the wireless network with a different name and password. It is not difficult, TP-Link AC750 RE210 has its own control panel like routers.
There are not a lot of controls. On the right side there are two buttons: Reset for resetting the repeater settings, and LED for turning off the indicators on the front panel so that they wouldn’t interfere in the dark.
On the left side we have RE button to connect to the router and Power button to turn off the repeater without unplugging it.
There is one LAN port at the bottom. It is needed to connect to the Internet via a network cable. For example, if you have devices in your house without Wi-Fi (desktop computers, TVs), they can be connected to the Internet with a cable. It turns out that TP-Link AC750 RE210 can act as a regular Wi-Fi adapter. By the way, the LAN port is gigabit.
TP-Link RE210 has small antennas, which are rare in repeaters. They can be folded if necessary. Thanks to them, the amplification of the wireless network is even more effective.
The side panels have small holes for cooling the device. The indicators on the front panel will inform you that the device is turned on, connected to wireless networks, and when the process of connecting to the router is started.
A little bit about the technical specifications of the TP-Link RE210
I don’t think you’ll be interested in all the technicalities. The TP-Link RE210 is a dual-band repeater. This means that it can simultaneously amplify a Wi-Fi network in two bands. At 2.4GHz, and 5GHz. If you have a dual-band router installed, this is the kind of repeater you need. And if you have a regular router that only gives out Wi-Fi at 2.4 GHz, then I would still advise you to buy a dual-band repeater, because it will be relevant for a long time. And it will not have to be replaced if you buy a more modern router.
I have this repeater has been working for several weeks. No problems at all. Yes, and reviews about TP-Link RE210 on the Internet are good. I am satisfied, and I advise you.
Also, it looks a bit like some kind of robot:)
If you have any questions, ask in the comments, I’ll be happy to answer! And write your reviews about TP-Link AC750 RE210 if you already own this device.
