Problems with Wi-Fi on a laptop (low signal level)

TP-Link TL-WR741ND router model.

Everything was fine, but up to a certain point. The thing is that the charger on the laptop was broken. The laptop stood idle for a week, as the battery was broken too. After buying a new charger, found that the signal level fell to one division (router in 15 cm.from the laptop) and in browsers to slow down a lot, sometimes restarted or turned off and helped only restart the Internet. I would write it all off on the failure of the receiver, but the most interesting thing is that in online games all works perfectly.Ping does not exceed the permissible norms and everything works well, although the signal strength is also weak.

Registry cleaned, browsers also, power on high performance and does not turn off the adapter to save money, drivers updated.

Response

You need to start by looking for the culprit. In any case, the problem is either in the laptop or in the TP-Link TL-WR741ND router. Connect another device, at least a smartphone, to the router. See what the signal strength and speed will be. You can also try to connect your laptop to another network and check everything.

For ping you most likely need a good network, but for speed….

I was sitting, thinking how a long shutdown of the laptop, or changing the charger can affect the work of the Internet. Nothing new came to mind.
