Connection of two routers TP-Link TL-WR741N and TL-WR740N by Wi-Fi
There are two routers, TP-LINK TL-WR741N and TL-WR740N.
Task: to connect the routers so that the Internet would be both on the computer and via wi-fi. And the wi-fi networks will be one single network.
- PC – Windows 10
- PC – Windows XP
The connection goes like this: Entenet cable->wan(741n)->wan(741n)->lan(741n)->lan PC1->wi-fi (741) -> wi-fi(740)->lan(740n)->lan PC2.
Answer
Repeater mode would work well for you, but these routers don’t have it.
In this case, the only option I see is to try to set up bridge mode (WDS) between TP-Link TL-WR741N and TP-Link TL-WR740N using these instructions: /tp-link/tp-link-router-setting-in-bridge-mode-wds-we-connect-two-wi-fi-fi routers/
If you want to have one Wi-Fi network, set the same Wi-Fi settings on both routers after configuring the bridge mode. Network name and passwords.
