Wi-Fi does not work on the Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 (after closing the laptop)
Hello. Internet stopped working on my laptop after I closed the laptop and went for a walk. When I came back, the Wi-Fi icon and a cross were displayed. OS Windows 10, it says that the network cable is not connected, although we have a router. Lenovo laptop.
Answer
Hello. The problem is ambiguous, and not very clear. Especially why when displaying the wi-fi icon with a red cross is displayed “Network cable is not connected”, and where actually it displays. A few tips that will probably help you to get wi-fi working again on your Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 installed:
- Simply reboot your laptop. I’m guessing you’ve already done this, and most likely the wi-fi on your laptop didn’t work.
- Go to “Network and Sharing Center”, select “Change Adapters” on the left, and check if the wi-fi adapter is enabled.
If it is on, then disable it and turn it back on.
- Be sure to try the solutions from the article Internet (wi-fi) is missing in Windows 10 after coming out of sleep mode.
- Try to enable wi-fi with a keyboard shortcut on your laptop keyboard. Usually it is the Fn key + a key from the row F1, F2, etc. If I am not mistaken, on Lenovo laptops it is Fn + F3.
