And what was my surprise that the Wi-Fi speed on my laptop is the same with the new router as with the old one!!!! (about 40 MB/s with the speed from the provider 100 MB/s). Maybe I’m doing something wrong? But I already want to take the expensive router to the store, because I do not see the point, even with 5G. Please give me some advice about ASUS RT-AC68U router and speed of wi-fi distribution!!!!. Yes, according to your articles, I made all kinds of router settings, but the speed does not change. If this is not a successful router, please advise what normal router, which does not cut the speed!?

And the speed of 40 Mbps on wi-fi network is not very small. Perhaps, in your conditions (signal strength, interference, etc.) this is the maximum speed at 2.4 GHz. I think if you check the wi-fi speed from some other device, even a smartphone, or tablet, it will be above 40 Mbps. Check at 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
