WLAN connection error on a smartphone

Hello! I used to use home wi-fi without any problems, but when I bought a new smartphone it became impossible. At first I could connect to the network, then it started to write “WLAN connection error”, I rebooted the router, smartphone, nothing changed, then I saw a notification “Current network is not connected to the Internet, tap to fix”, I clicked, checked the box, everything was fine for a couple of days, then it started throwing an error.

The notification appeared again after three weeks or so, I accidentally removed it, now I don’t know what to do at all. I called the provider, he said to return the phone to factory settings, and that’s it. But the funny thing is that everyone can connect to the network except me. And my phone can connect to networks other than my home network.

Answer

Hello. If other devices connect and work to your router without any problems, then the problem is not in the router, and especially not with your ISP.

You should first try deleting your wifi network on your smartphone. Click on it, support it and delete it (or whatever). For some reason you didn’t even write what kind of smartphone you have. After deleting, you need to reconnect to your home Wi-Fi network with your password. “WLAN connection error” should disappear.

If this does not help, you need to take the advice of your provider – do a factory reset on your smartphone.
