Wi-Fi periodically does not work on the ASUS laptop
I have read and tried all methods of connecting and configuring Wi-Fi on your site, but nothing helped.
I am using an Asus laptop, I don’t remember the model…. Windows 10
So, wi-fi on my laptop lives its own life, it sometimes starts after rebooting, but during the work of the computer can disconnect and completely disappears wi-fi icon, it can not work for a month and one day will turn on by itself.
Followed all the instructions on your site, updated the drivers, uninstalled them manually and reinstalled, no result. And it continues to turn on and off periodically. By itself…
I guess I’ll have to take it in for repair. What do you say in this case? Wi-Fi works, sees all networks, but again periodically….
Answer
Hello. When Wi-Fi on the laptop is no longer working, is gone, you need to go to the Device Manager, open the “Network Adapters” section and see if there is a wireless adapter.
It can also be that somehow the contacts on the wi-fi module itself come off when you shake the laptop. Have you noticed that this has something to do with it? Just don’t shake your laptop when it’s on, you can damage the hard disk.
Make power settings as I showed in this article.
Before carrying the laptop to repair, I would reinstall Windows 10 and put the drivers (by the way, is there Windows 10 drivers for your laptop model on the official ASUS website?). If Wi-Fi will periodically disappear and will not work, then you can already go to the workshop. It is possible that this is a hardware failure of the laptop, or the Wi-Fi module itself.
