Why doesn’t the Internet work on D-Link DSL-2640U after resetting settings?

I decided to reset my D-Link DSL-2640U router. I reset it, waited for the router to reboot. It rebooted, but there was no Internet. I rebooted it several times, still no internet, what to do? Wi-Fi is giving out, but no internet. Help.

Answer

This is a normal situation, it should be. You have completely deleted all the settings and parameters on your D-Link DSL-2640U. It is as good as new now.

Internet does not work because it needs to be configured. You need to set all the parameters given by the provider. So that the modem can connect to the Internet and distribute it via cable and Wi-Fi network. When we buy a modem and connect it, the Internet does not work either. You have to set it up.

Go to the DSL-2640U settings at 192.168.1.1 and run the configuration wizard. You may have a different control panel.

Internet is not working through D-Link DSL-2640U

In the process you will need to specify the necessary parameters, which you can check with your provider, or look in the documents that you should have been given when connecting. Or maybe the provider’s support in the telephone mode will help you to configure the modem.

And if the Internet via DSL-2640U modem didn’t work because of the lost settings, everything should work.
