Wi-Fi disappears after connecting the laptop to the mains

Hello! I connect to Wi-Fi from a laptop on Windows 10, 64 bit. The network is working. No icons….. but only from the battery. As soon as I insert the power plug – everything hangs and stops. Torrent downloads drop to 0, while the speed was 10 mbps. Not 1 page of the Internet does not open. I pull out the plug (switch to battery) – everything works fine.

Interesting case you have. Usually on the contrary, when powered from the network Wi-Fi works stably, and from the battery begins to disappear, disconnects, etc.

You certainly described your question (if it is a question) in an interesting way, but you didn’t write anything specific about the problem.

  1. When did this come up? Was it working fine before?
  2. What is the status of the Wi-Fi connection after connecting the power adapter to the laptop? Does it change in any way?
  3. Does everything start working immediately after disconnecting power from the laptop? Or do you reboot?

You need to check the power plan settings when working from the power adapter (from a power outlet). And disable disconnecting the Wi-Fi adapter. I wrote about it in detail in the article Setting up the power supply for the wireless network adapter.
