Why does the Lenovo G580 laptop begin to see the Wi-Fi network only after sleep mode?

Hello. On the laptop Lenovo G580, Win7 at power on does not work wi-fi. To work you need to press the power button, or where startup shutdown sleep (ie put in sleep mode) then turn on, and then the network icon with a red cross changes to a sign with a blue animation of network search, immediately sees all available networks and connects. But lately this happens for 3-4 transitions to sleep, with this problem for almost a year, as put win7, used to use the Internet on it rarely, now there is a need to solve no way, read here a lot of topics, asked on 4pda, no one answered.

The driver is installed, device manager shows everything as it should.

Answer

Hello. I will answer you, but not sure I will help you 🙂 🙂

I think there was already a similar question on the site. Probably in the comments of some article. I don’t remember already.

The fact that the driver is installed and the adapter is in the device manager is clear. It works, though not immediately. I didn’t really understand what exactly is the connection status right after turning on the laptop (when it doesn’t see the Wi-Fi network). You wrote: “network icon with a red cross…”. Is it a wireless icon, or a LAN icon? Is the adapter in Device Manager at that point, and does it have no errors? Or is there no wireless network at all? This is important.

You haven’t written what you’ve tried so far. Therefore, adjust the power to the adapter.

If that doesn’t help (and most likely it won’t), then you need to try other drivers. Maybe search by hardware ID. I think the problem is in the Wi-Fi module driver.

Is there a Windows 7 driver for Lenovo G580 on the official website? Did you install it? Especially since everything started after installing Windows 7 (as you wrote). And what was installed before Windows 7?
