iPhone from America does not connect to Wi-Fi (does not see the network at a distance)
The problem is this, I have an iPhone 6, brought from America (as stated by the seller (bought from hand)). First time after turning on Wi-Fi on iPhone worked perfectly. But about a week ago it stopped catching wi-fi. Near the router Wi-Fi is connected (if you stand right next to it) and if you go to the next room, it just stops seeing the network. And also, if you move away from the router and try to connect to the network it gives an error, they say not the right password (but the password is correct! because the router itself connects the network automatically). All methods tried, and “forget network”, and reset network settings, and reboot both the router and the iPhone itself.
Answer
Good day. Usually iPhones that came to us from America do not see Wi-Fi networks that work on channel 12 and 13. But they do not see these networks at all. Even close to the router.
You have a strange situation. If you read my article What to do if iPhone (iPad) does not see Wi-Fi network and comments to it, you probably should have noticed that very often iPhone does not catch wi-fi signal well, or only close to the router (as in your case) because of the case. If your phone has a case on it, take it off. There are cases that jam the signal.
Also check your iPhone with other Wi-Fi networks.
