Incorrect user name or password for D-Link DIR-615

When entering the settings of the router D-Link DIR-615, I enter the correct user name and password, but it gives “invalid user name or password”. I reset the settings, enters and without access to the settings system asks to change the factory password to your own (I changed it to my own and factory), after entering and confirming the new password goes to the start page with a request for name and password, I enter (name with password and just a name), again 25 – “incorrect user name or password”….

Can you tell me what could be the reason? Thanks in advance for any help!

This is some kind of disease at D-Link, or what. I’ve heard about this problem so many times in comments and not only. Login/password does not fit, reset fails, then after changing the password can not enter the router D-Link. I think it’s some kind of software or hardware failure.

After resetting the settings and entering the D-Link DIR-615 control panel, have you tried to close the window offering to change the router password (there seems to be such an option there) and change it in the corresponding section? I can’t tell you where exactly, I don’t know what firmware (interface) you have. Set some simple password there. For example: 111111. And login – admin. Save the settings and reboot from the control panel.

Also try doing it from another device, or at least another browser.

I wish I had access to your router to experiment with the settings.
