Why doesn’t the TP-Link TL-WA850RE register not go to the admin admin?

The first time I used the network cable, everything worked. But when I set up the network, I got an error the second time. I went to tplinkrepeater.net. In the articles I read that the repeater copies the router settings, did a factory reset and configured on the laptop to get an automatic IP address, nothing works.

After the reset if the repeater cable is connected – the laptop blocks the other internet on the laptop completely. It is configured through the mobile app, but it is impossible to set the signal strength. Please tell me how to enter the admin area from the laptop.

Answer

Usually there is no problem logging into the repeater settings. I think you have a problem with the second connection. The thing is that when you connect your laptop to the repeater via cable after resetting the settings, the same laptop is most likely connected to the Wi-Fi network from the main router at this time. Windows prioritizes the connection that has internet access. That’s why it’s not accessing tplinkrepeater.net. Simply turn off the Wi-Fi on the laptop. Disconnect completely, or disconnect from the Wi-Fi network. So that there’s only a connection to the repeater. Or connect to the repeater’s Wi-Fi network from your laptop. The TP-LINK TL-WA850RE admin should be available at tplinkrepeater.net.

Also after configuration. I can assume that the laptop keeps the connection with the router and does not connect to the repeater (wi-fi network is most likely the same after configuration). That is why the web-interface of the repeater does not open. You can go to the main router settings, find the repeater in the list of connected devices and go to the IP address assigned to it by the router.
