Why does Wi-Fi brake and lag on the ASUS laptop (Windows 10)?
It is especially noticeable while watching videos (videos load slowly) and during active correspondence (new messages arrive and are sent with a delay). The signal is strong, on the phone and PC, to which the router is connected, there are no such problems, everything works perfectly. I have an Asus laptop with Windows 10, and previously had problems with wi-fi on it.
This is a very unpleasant problem, I hope you will suggest a solution, because this is the wording I could not find :<.
Response
Since the problem is very ambiguous, I can’t give any specific advice on the solution. Besides, there are a lot of points in your problem that are very unclear to me. Please clarify in the comments:
- What have you already tried to do to solve these Wi-Fi issues on your ASUS laptop?
- What is the model of the laptop?
- Has the Wi-Fi worked fine before? What exactly did you do last time according to my instructions?
- Did you download and install the driver from ASUS website specifically for your laptop?
- Check your internet connection speed and attach the results in the comments. Check when there is a download problem and when there is not.
- Is the problem in different browsers?
- Is it the same problem with other Wi-Fi networks? Need to check.
- Does reconnecting to a Wi-Fi network solve the problem for long?
Try the following:
- Disable antivirus (if installed).
- Reboot the router.
- Prohibit disabling the Wi-Fi adapter on your ASUS notebook.
- Delete the Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager and reboot the laptop.
Such problems with Wi-Fi lags are not only on ASUS laptops. Not rarely it is due to hardware problems with the Wi-Fi module (the board inside the laptop).
