Wi-Fi TP-Link Archer T6e Adapter Doges Not Work in the 802.11n Standard (Flies on 802.11b/G)
Good afternoon.
Router model: D-Link 615 E4
Adapter model: TP-Link Archer T6E v1.0
OS: Windows 7 x64
I can’t get the adapter to work in 802.11n standard.
Constantly jumping speed, up to drop out in 802.11b.
At the same time lying in 20cm phone works fine (in Fig. you can see, the green line marked PC adapter).
What methods of solution were tried:
- searching all possible drivers I could find (both from the official site and for BCM-43xx)
- WirelessMode parameter with value 6 was set in the registry (I had to enter this parameter myself, because initially it was not even present in the registry).
- Reassigning adapter parameters through Device Manager in all possible variations.
Answer
Good afternoon. It would be nice, of course, to check the adapter with another router (wi-fi network). TP-Link Archer T6E and D-Link 615 E4 router support 802.11n and the adapter should keep a stable connection in this standard. Why it connects in slower 802.11b and 802.11g is unclear. The actual connection speed is also much slower compared to other devices?
The first solution that immediately comes to mind is to switch the router to 802.11n mode. That is, select in the Wi-Fi settings (802.11 Mode) not mixed mode, but only 802.11n. Your D-Link 615 E4 should have this option. I can’t tell you in detail, as I don’t know how the web-interface looks like on your router. There are different variants of them.
You wrote that you experimented with TP-Link Archer T6E Wi-Fi adapter settings in Device Manager. I understand that you are talking about subtle (additional) properties. There may be a property there, something like “Wireless Mode”, have you tried changing the value to 802.11n?
